Full-grain leather  /  solid brass  /  every stitch by hand

( A short introduction )

Rocky Dog Goods is a small California workshop. We cut, stitch, and stamp full-grain leather by hand — in batches small enough that every piece gets looked in the eye before it leaves.

( How this started )

A movie, a wallet, and a mild obsession.

Rocky Dog Goods exists because Jessie — a videographer and photographer — watched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and couldn't stop thinking about the wallet. So she set out to make one. The first was rough. The second was better. Somewhere around the tenth, it stopped being a project and became the workshop.

Everything here is made from ethically sourced full-grain leather, finished entirely by hand, for the travelers, adventurers, and wanderers. These goods don't stay new for long — they get better instead.

( What everything is made of )

01

Full-grain leather

The top cut of the hide, character intact — sourced from responsible tanneries. It doesn't hide its history and neither should you.

02

Solid brass

Cast, never plated. Brass doesn't rust or flake; it earns a patina and keeps holding on.

03

Two hands, California

Cutting, stitching, stamping, edge work — every step done by hand, in batches small enough to sign off one at a time.
